Submissions for nominations are sent to the Kakiseni Arts Awards Administration Committee and will be screened for eligibility. The submissions are then handed an independent panel of judges, who consist of performance arts professionals appointed by the commitee.

In January, the panel of judges will deliberate the number of awards and nominations based on the performances of the past year and a secret ballot of the nominated performances will be done.

The scoring from the ballot will be tabulated by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the results will remain strictly confidential until the announcement during the awards ceremony.
